Be Here Now, Dammit!

“Be here now” came to me from a book long, long ago.
I strive to live by this. I long for this attainment.

Like the sun coming up, the moon waxing and waning, the tide rising and falling, the sand in the hour glass moves at one speed.

I am mesmerized by the sand moving,  the seconds flowing. I cannot push it forward or take it back. My ‘Now’ escapes through a hypnotic trance, focused on time.

In my dream world, I have no choice but to be present.
I am managed, I am not in control, but I am definitely there and nowhere else.
In that realm, minutes can stretch into hours or hours happen in a flash. Dream life operates on a different schedule, it is measured on a different scale. I don’t see clocks in my dreams. Do you?
