Sisters Share Senior Moments

For the last three months I have been looking for my external hard drive that I had hidden carefully from any intruders that might show up in my absence on vacation. It had such a great hiding spot that even I could not find it. You may know that feeling of frustration when you are certain that you have looked "EVERYWHERE" and it is still lost.  Well, when I finally found it (yes, in one of the drawers where I had already looked at least twice), I emailed my mixed feelings of joy and chagrin to my sister. (She and her husband live in their motor home and travel the world year 'round.)  Her response was so ultimately perfect, I asked her if I could share it with you.  We hope your knowing chuckle is because you have experienced similar instances.  But if not, just wait a little, your turn is coming. When it does, I hope you too have a loving sister who will commiserate with you.

Now that's the way I felt the other day when I lost my bowl that I was ready to do eggs in. I turned on the toaster and the microwave was running and that blew the fuse so I went outside to flip the switch at the pole. (Vern was in the shower unaware of any problem) Came back in and looked in the cupboard for the bowl to start the eggs. No bowl. Looked in the refrig, no bowl. Looked under the sink thinking maybe VERN put it away in a different spot. Back to the cupboad and refrig. Finally in to Vern asking where or if he had seen the egg bowl. "What egg bowl?" Yikes!!! Out to check all the same places again. Oh yes the micro is dinging away notice me, notice me. So I pushed the stop button and continued to fume about the bowl. Now this is about 20 minutes later. Vern comes out and says did you put the little smokies in it? Well I would if I could find it. Then the micro draws my attention cause the time needs to be reset. I look in the window and guess what, there's the damn bowl . What's to do but cry and VERN says "what's the matter, you found it."
