Define Brave

I am not a brave woman, and yet I wake each day to
this uncertain world where evil steadily fights for the
upper hand.
Words of wisdom, hope and truth strive to be heard above
the cacophony of hate, fear and lies. Gentle folk begin to
appear weak next to the raving lunatic, who spouts
conspiracy theory and imminent devastation.
I follow in the footsteps of women who have persisted in spite
of the relentless struggle for sanity in an uncertain world.
We are not brave women
And yet we wake each day.
